Uma Wang
Showroom Assistant - PFW SS26

National Geographic
Philippines
Working with National Geographic Philippines was one of the most exciting chapters of my career so far, because I joined right at the onset of the brand’s launch in the country. Being part of those early steps meant that I wasn’t just executing tasks—I was helping shape how an iconic global brand would be introduced to a new audience.
As a Licensing & Branding Assistant, my days were a mix of creative and strategic work: preparing visual assets, refreshing sales decks, and supporting the day-to-day marketing operations that kept the team moving forward. But what I loved most was being involved in influencer scouting finding voices and personalities who could authentically carry the NatGeo spirit and connect with people who value exploration, sustainability, and storytelling.
It was a lesson in balance: staying true to the instantly recognizable NatGeo identity while adapting it to resonate locally. I came to appreciate how much thought goes into every detail of a brand launch—every image, every collaboration, every piece of copy and how those choices add up to the bigger story a brand tells.
This experience showed me the impact of cultural sensitivity and strategic storytelling in marketing. It gave me a deeper appreciation for the behind-the-scenes work of building something from the ground up and confirmed how much I enjoy being part of that process.

matieres fecales
Backstage assistant - PFW F/W 25
Paris Fashion Week SS26 marked my first time working a high-profile runway show, and Matières Fécales threw me straight into the deep end. As a Backstage Dresser, I dressed two models through rapid outfit changes under intense time constraints, working alongside a full production and styling team to execute last-minute adjustments during rehearsals. The scale was unlike anything I'd experienced—coordinating with professional models, stylists, and photographers while the show generated significant press coverage and social media attention in real time. Every garment had to be steamed, fitted, and runway-ready within seconds, and there was no margin for error when the eyes of fashion media were on the collection. That experience taught me that backstage operations aren't just support—they're where a designer's creative vision either succeeds or collapses under pressure. Seeing the show come together flawlessly, knowing I'd contributed to a moment that would be covered by major fashion publications, confirmed my passion for the intersection of creative execution and high-stakes logistics in fashion.

Rouhan Clothing
Backstage assistant - PFW F/W 25
At Paris Fashion Week, I stepped into the high-pressure, fast-paced backstage environment as a Backstage Assistant for Ruohan. From model fittings to managing quick changes under the tightest timeframes, I learned what it truly means to keep a show running seamlessly. Working closely with stylists and designers, I ensured each look was steamed, styled, and runway-ready, while also troubleshooting challenges on the spot. The adrenaline rush of seeing the collection come to life in real time was unforgettable—proof that precision and calm under pressure are just as essential as creativity in fashion.

Uma wang
Showroom Assistant
For Uma Wang's Spring/Summer 2026 showroom during Paris Fashion Week, I served as a Showroom Assistant throughout the full duration of the event—not just a single day, but across multiple appointments, fittings, and buyer presentations. Beyond dressing and styling models for press and buyer viewings, I had creative input in how we presented the collection's aesthetic for different audiences. I managed client relations during high-pressure buyer appointments, coordinated with stylists to adapt presentations on the fly, and maintained the organizational backbone of the showroom—from garment tracking and sample management to ensuring every rack, fitting, and appointment ran seamlessly. Working with Uma Wang's team taught me that showroom operations during Fashion Week are a unique intersection of sales strategy, brand storytelling, and logistics. Each buyer interaction required reading the room and adjusting our approach, while maintaining the brand's luxury positioning. Being trusted with creative decision-making in how we styled presentations, not just executing tasks, showed me that in fashion, the best operational roles require both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
fashion Week Studios
Production assistant - PFW FEB 2024
My earlier role as a Production Assistant for Fashion Week Studios gave me a holistic view of both backstage and front-of-house operations. I coordinated models, oversaw production logistics, prepared gift bags, and managed seating for guests, all while directing craft services to keep the entire team running smoothly. It was here that I truly grasped how every small detail—from guest list flow to backstage timing—contributes to the larger experience of a show.
